Maria Acevedo has been appointed Co-Chair of the Cross Border Real Estate Committee of the International Law Section of the American Bar Association effective through August 2023. This committee is a clearinghouse for practitioners overseeing transactions in their respective jurisdictions and abroad. The committee aims to push real estate law forward, including with respect to inbound and outbound real estate investment; financing, mortgages, and security issues; harmonization of title registration and transfer requirements; title insurance issues; and other matters of substantive international real estate law. The committee also updates its members on international real estate trends.
